I got myself a DSLR last week. Canon 1100D. I have tried to learn how to use it effectively over last few days. And I don’t think I am progressing fast enough. Anyway, here is a photo I took on Sunday morning in one of the fields around my home. It is a Crane of some kind but I was unable to get its scientific name from the net.
(Update: Apparently, it is not a Crane but an Egret.  Thanks Anshul and RashMe.

Here is the exif info. I got this using Jeffery’s Exif Viewer. I am also trying my hand at post processing. But it looks like un-calibrated monitors tend to mess up with it. I doubt this photo will have too much contrast for some people.

Random set of flowers from my Dad’s pooja thali. Everyday he or mom pick these flowers from our front yard. This is one more proof of me waking up early some day as they do pooja really early in the morning

I am totally obsessed with taking photos of droplets. I never let go any chance of doing it. I shot photos in this collection after it rained suddenly on one fine summer afternoon. Nearly all photos are from same tree. Makes me wish I had a DSLR with a macro zoom lens. Anyway, here is link to one of my older photos which still remains my best water drop photo ever.
